The Leicester Society of Model Engineers Ltd

The Abbey Park Miniature Railway Station Building (for direction to the site click here)
Running of the miniature railway takes place every Sunday (weather permitting) from Easter Sunday to the end of October from 2:00 till 5:00pm
Working parties take place on Saturday afternoons all year round from 2:00 to 5:00pm. Public running may also take place subject to maintenance activities allowing, and a sufficient number of volunteers being present and not otherwise engaged!
Working parties and general "chit chat" every Monday night during the summer and on the 2nd, 4th and 5th Monday in the month from October to the end of March from 7:00pm
The Society has:
Twice monthly meetings October to March on topics of interest to model engineers at the ‘The Cricketers’, 1 Grace Road, Leicester, LE2 8AD, 1st and 3rd Monday of each month commencing at 7.30pm.
A ground level railway in Abbey Park catering for 7 ¼” and 5” gauges
A raised track catering for 5”, 3 ½” and 2 ½” gauges
A quarterly publication the “Buffer Stop”
A membership of about 150 with a wide range of interests.
